LAMPWORK, My latest admiration!
I have admired Lampwork Artists' work, for many years.
It was only until recently that I realized a 'wonderful marriage' of Lampwork and Glass Seed Beads, in any given piece.! |
 |
"Teal & Gold Glass Seed Beads with Crystal Swarovski AB, Beaded Beads, 3-D Beaded Bead in Center above Lampwork Teal Rose Drop finished with Teal Lampwork Pillows, in neckband. Necklace and Wrist Corsage"
 |
"Monarch Butterfly and Cobalt Lampwork Necklace and Wrist Corsage"
"Citrine Rose Pendant"
This was a necklace completed with 'graphed' beaded beads,
depicting flowers similar to the rose used on this piece.
The Lampwork was created by an Artist in California, Sandy Groothoff.
She is a master lampwork artists who's work is to die for.
I am inspired by her pieces, every time I look at them.
I purchase what I can to include in many of my pieces.
You may also notice the aquamarine rose on the toggle of "Multiplicity", also Sandy's work!

"Purple, Black, White, Gold Lampwork and Beaded Beads!
"
I beaded wooden beads to the colors of my "favorite"
football team, The Baltimore Ravens. To complete this necklace,
I contacted a 'Lampwork Artist', presently living in Germany, Teresa Laliberte',
and requested a set of lampwork beads to match what I have created. She was "right"
on the money, in every detail. Here work is wonderful and worth a trip to her website:

I find that my passion
is to create necklaces of a three dimension with loomed glass seed
beads. Thus I am showing a second page of necklaces to include even more
of my work. Again, all of my work is using only glass beads. The designs
are created by me drawing the picture on a piece of graph paper, with
color pencils, then outlining in black to secure the actual pattern.
This may seem intricate to some, but it is pure to me!! |

"Tulip Necklace"
Tulips can be a very simple flower.
Therefore, I wanted to make the pattern delicate.
The multiple strands, pictured, are small woven beads in a flower pattern. |

|
"White Flower on Turquoise"
The flower petals here are a great
example of the options there are to "tie" off each petal to create a particular
finished flower.
The fringes are strung with 'acrylic' beads to create the "electric" look! |

|
"Purple Butterfly Garden Necklace"
I wanted to create
a 'background' and a 'foreground' look, with this pattern. The flower
and butterfly are graphed into my pattern. The 3-D butterfly is added
later. I strung green glass beads in multiple layers to mimic the look
of stems!

|
"Pansy
Necklace"

Pansies have always seemed
so interesting to me. They are grown in many different colors and each
petal doesn't seem to match the color or position of other petals, on
the same flower. For this reason, creatively can abound! This pattern I
enjoy re-creating, for my commissions! |

"Pink Corsage"
This piece is titled, "Pink Corsage".
The necklace and leaves are loomed with
Delicas. The flower petals are also loomed,
with glass seed beads. The fringe is made with Swarovski Crystals and glass seed beads and the
flower center is a hand-woven, 'beaded bead', using
gold metallic petit glass beads, size 13.
