Our 2012 Super Bowl Champions deserved a specially deisgned, loom woven cuff!
In honor of their huge win, I am highlighting a speically designed, loom woven cuff! Thank you Ravens, for a wondeful 2012 Season!
The "Ravens Cuff" includes some hand woven accents, of their Logo, with an extended pattern, off the edge of the loomed cuff base, which continues the Football Design.
Edged with 4mm Crystal Swarovski Cupchain, meandoring 15/0 glass seed beads and finished with custom made, hand painted ceramic footballs.

Football Bead Cuff, woven on a Loom!
Every team how it's own special design. Finding a creative way to offer a favorite Football Team Logo, creates a challenge I enjoy. Each cuff is woven on the loom, accented with Swarovski Crystals or other extended pattern ideas.

Malachite Butterfly Wing Earrings with Sterling Silver Findings!
Not until I was commissioned to recreate a pair of 'Malachite Butterfly Wing Earrings', did I know this species existed! I love these colors! Hand woven using 15/0 Japanese Glass Beads in a pattern I drew from the very picture you see inset above.
As with all of my beading, I finish with Sterling Silver Findings. I also create the ear wires, using Sterling Wire.
Fushia Daggers and Delicas!
Hand woven in 3 drop, 11/0 AB Fushia Delicas with AB Daggers. The findings are sterling silver with custom made ear wires.
Sharkskin Finish Delicas!
These 11/0 Delicas have a shark skin finish that shines blue or green, in any given light. The daggers are muted with some Olivine Swarovski Crystal Accents and sterling silver findings. As with all of my earrings, the ear wires are custom made.
Garden of Flowers!
Shimmering AB Finish Delicas in shades of off-white, green and coral pinks, create this pair of flower garden, graphed, earrings. The findings and custom ear wires are sterling silver.
Flower Trellis!
I love custom created lamp work art. These gorgeous flowers, created by CC Lampwork, are incorporated with a bead tube graphed as a 'trellis', all in 11/0 Delicas. The dangle is a Swarovski Glass Peach Pearl, sterling silver findings and custom made ear wires.
"Raven-Maniac!"
As a big fan of our Baltimore Ravens Football Team, I find many ways to create the perfect jewlery to go with the jersey! These seed beaded earrings are modeled after both of their logos, The Ravens Full Face and side view. I used 11/0 Japanese Delicas in the team colors, black/purple/gold/white.
For some reason, these awesome Purple Silverlined Delicas won't photograph showing how intense the purple color really is, but any other Ravens Fan would not miss it!
The Perfect Fan Cuff!
I enjoy Football, even more when my favorite team is playing, 'The Baltimore Ravens'. I decided that the football jersey just wasn't enough to show my spirit. This Loomed cuff shows the Purple/Black/White/Gold colors of the team, in 11/0 Delicas and a Sterling Silver clasp.

Flowers and Beaded Tubes!
Glass Matte 11/0 Seed Beads created these earrings of flowers, with dyed potato pearl centers, secured to a seed beaded tube with sterling silver wire details and findings.
I share my looming thoughts frequently on my Blog,
"A Bead Looming Intervention"
The right 'Intervention' can help, so commenting, on my blog posts, will help us all learn more about bead looming!
"I am sharing a few of my recent earrings designs!"
These earrings are a perfect marriage of 11/0 Glass seed beads, Toho Permanent silver finish seed beads and a Vintage Copper Leaf.

Flower Image Beaded Beyond the Bezel
Sometimes, I find that bezeling an image can restrict what you include, under the glass. In this case, my image was extended out side the bezel itself. I also used Brass Findings to complete these earrings, custom creating the ear wires with 20 gauge brass wire.
Keeping the image 'Beaded with in the lines'!
Sometimes it is more difficult to 'stay within the lines'. Originally, I felt this image was too large for the glass bezel, but then realized the fun I could have recreating many ideas 'outside the lines'! These are bezeled, with 11/0 and 15/0 glass seed beads then finished with sterlng silver findings.
Amber Glass Ovals Bezeled with Aiko Dichroic Seed Beads
Dichroic Seed Beads, by Aiko, are phenominal! There color and shine are unmatched! Here I beveled Amber Glass Ovals with these 11/0 size beads. Not wanting to disrupt the reflection in the Amber Glass, I opted to utilize another way of incorporating the 'head pin'. Now there is no inclusion in the glass!
All findings are sterling silver. I custom make my own head pins and ear wires. Notice my signature ear wire. The 'curving' I include, keep the earrings from falling out of the lobe easily.

"Wearable Memories"
Special pictures are secured under glass and finished to wear as a pair of earrings. These are photographs of my friend in France, who was married in France over 30 years ago.
The backs are secured to keep the photo from air, moisture or any other form of contaminations, such as perfumes.
The findings are Sterling Silver. I used 15/0 Japanese Glass Delica Beads to bezel the edge, then finished with 15/0 Japanese seed beads. The picture is very secure under the glass oval, but not making these too heavy to wear and enjoy!
A painted 'State Quarter' displayed as Earrings!
All US states are highlighted in a special minting of quarters. Also available, are 'painted' quarters. As a gift to a good friend, from France, I purchased two 'painted Maryland Quarters'. These were significant because our quarter depicts the dome of our State House. This dome is the only wooden dome existing in the US. Also, the MD State House was the place the 'peace treaty' with France was ratified, bringing the end to the Revolutionary War.
These are bezeled using 15/0's Japanese glass beads. The dangle is a Fresh Water Potatoe Pearl, and sterling silver wire and findings.
Fringes take 'Front & Center'
Each pair of earrings above, were hand woven using Japanese Delics, 11/0, Glass beads. The fringes were completed using larger sized beads and crystals, giving a 'thick layer' look. The ends of each fringe, are finished with 16mm long Glass daggers. I used the daggers to 'pull' the design 'inward'.

"Mmmmm, Pepperoni Pizza!"
I never thought I would consider food a wonderful, 'wall paper' for earring designs, but at first glance, these 15/0 Japanese Glass Beaded Earrings, don't seem to be anything more then a 'graphic design'. I have been creating food designs, for earrings, ever since!
The bead colors I selected, for these slices, include matte, opaque, color lined, and a few silver lined to add that perfect amount of 'glissen' on the cooked pepperoni slices!
These are a perfect example how I am offering my techniques to create beaded artwork by considering the 'bead finish' as well as the color.
"On the Fringe of Flowers in Bloom!"
While creating designs for my looming, I realized that the same graph could be used to 'fringe' a pair of earrings. These were created using 38 colors of 11/0 Delicas. Each fringe is complete with sterling silver wire wrapped 3mm Swarovski Crystals.
"Dimensional Bead Beads with Lampwork!"
The 'custom' lamp work, at the base of these earrings, is the bead color selections. Once the colors were matched, a wooden bead was beaded, then I added an outside embroidering of pink Delicas, to give a dimensional look, similar to each of the lamp work beads. Crystals and hand crafted Sterling Silver ear wires and head pins, finished the pair.
"Butterfly Wings"
The Butterfly Wing Earrings I create, ressemble the delicate position of a butterfly's wings, when sitting on a leaf or branch. I have graphed many species, in the same position, but sharing two of my favorite, the Monarch, (with slight variations of orange) and the Morpho, (with the gorgeous iridescence of it's colors, I used silver lined opal). Each are completed with 15/0 Japanese glass beads. The ear wires and findings are custom wire wrapped sterling silver, with either custom lampwork, 4mm Swarovski Crystals, or Swarovski Crystal pearls.

"The Illusion of 'Bead Finishes'!"
If you stand back, you should be able to see the subject of these earrings.....A Siberian Tiger. The earrings, together, make up the Tiger's Face. Apart, they are the left and right side, respectfully.
I mention many times, throughout my website, how the 'bead selection' is very important. I used 35 different Delica bead colors, to paint these earrings. Patterns can be created on the smallest scale, if the beads selected make up for the overall picture. Notice these earrings are only 15 beads wide, but with the bead finishes, the pattern encompasses a much wider picture. Again, I like using Delicas because of the vast aray of bead finishes. The availability of every finish, allows me to create pictures that 'pop' into a third dimension!
I prefer to introduce sterling silver, in all of my beadwork. These earrings have custom made sterling silver ear wires, a sterling silver filigree top, as well as, each fringe being finished using a 3mm Swarovski Crystal, wrapped with sterling silver wire.

"Sterling Silver Adorned Seed Bead Earrings'!"
Beaded with 13 different, 11/0, Delica Aqua Color, Glass Seed Beads and trimmed with sterling silver. The top is a woven sterling detail, attached with 2mm sterling silver beads. I graphed a more 'modern' design to replicate the reflection of an 'aquamarine cut stone'.
Each fringe end has a 'sterling wire wrapped' 3mm Swarovski Crystal and a 2mm sterling bead. This type of a finish on fringe, gives a wonderful weight and body not normally acquired with just using seed beads.
Introducing even more sterling silver, with seed beaded jewelry, I secured a sterling bar, of five rings, to hold each wrapped Swarovski Crystal set. To hold the wrapped stems, 'front and center', I included a few sterling jump rings, in a slight 'chain maille' fashion.

"Is it 'Sheep' or 'Ewe'?"
Turning the simplist subject matter into an 'every day' wearable pair of earrings, can be tricky. But, by adding the perfect touch of 'character', earrings can become 'too cute not to wear'!
I recreated the wool feel, by sewing a 15/0 Japanese Glass Bead, directly on top of each 11/0 Delica Bead, used to create the design. This gave the dimension and feel of being 'fluffy'.
The decision of adding 'sterling wire wrapped' cube feet, also took the 'edge' off...and brings a smile to anyone who sees them.
The 'idea', of a feeling, is another aspect to considered, once techniques are mastered. Move on to incorporating 'feeling', into the bead techniques used, and make it so it can be accomplished, usually without thought!
